Enjoy the occasion – including the hours before and the morning after. Some of our happiest memories are made at home. Christmas with the family. A milestone birthday. An anniversary dinner. Friends around the table. A celebration that brings everyone together. But when you are the person hosting, you often experience a very different side of the occasion. There is the predation beforehand, the constant mental list while everyone else is enjoying themselves – and then everything that needs attention after the last guest has gone home. Our Special Occasion Home Preparation & Aftercare services are designed to support the household around your event. It has two distinct elements, and you can choose either one or arrange both.
Before your occasion preparation begins with understanding what you are hosting. An intimate dinner for six requires a very different approach from a large family gathering at Christmas. We establish which areas of your home your guests will use and concentrate our attention there, rather than unnecessarily treating the whole property as though every room is part of the event. The aim is to have those spaces ready early enough that you can stop preparing the house and start preparing yourself. It could be your entrance and reception areas, dining space, facilities your guests will use or other agreed areas relevant to your particular gathering. This is household preparation, rather than event planning. We do not arrange entertainment, cater the event, or manage your guests. Our responsibility is the home around the occasion. And afterwards…
This is where the Aftercare services earn its place. When you have hosted a wonderful evening, the last thing you necessarily want is to wake up the following morning and immediately begin restoring the house. KTS can return at an agreed time to help bring the arras used during your gathering back towards their normal state. The exact work will depend on the nature of the occasion and will be discussed beforehand so that expectations are clear. You might choose preparation only because you are happy to deal with things afterwards. You might want Aftercare only because getting ready is the part you enjoy or you can arrange both and give yourself the luxury of simply hosting. Birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas gatherings, dinner parties, family celebration and other private occasion can all be accommodated subjects to availability and the requirements of the property. Because the occasion belongs to you. Your time should be spent making memories with the people you have invited- not worrying about the house before, during or after they are there.
