Arriving after time away often means preparing the house before you can properly settle in, while the end of a stay can be spent dealing with everything that needs to be left in order before you depart.
Our Second Home Arrival & Departure Service provides discreet household support at both ends of your stay. It is specifically intended for privately owned second homes residences and is completely separate from our Holiday Let and Changeover Service. There are no paying holiday guests arriving after you. This is your home.
Before you arrive, an arrival visit is scheduled ahead of your stay, so that KTS can prepare the property according to the arrangement we have established with you. The focus is on making the transition into your second home easier. Rather than arriving and immediately beginning your own preparation routine, you can step into the property that has already received the agreed attention. For clients who visit regularly, we become familiar with your preferences and develop a consistent arrival routine around the way you use the home. That familiarity is an important part of the service. You shouldn’t need to explain the same requirements from the beginning every time you visit.
After you leave, departure is equally important. The last day of a stay shouldn’t have to become a race around the house getting everything done before setting off. A departure visit allows agreed household matters to be dealt with once your stay has ended, helping leave the property appropriately reset for the period between visits.
The arrival and departure elements can be used separately or together. This is particularly suitable for clients who divide their time between Eastbourne and another part of the UK, spend part of the year overseas or maintain a coastal property that they use periodically.
Because every second home is different, the arrangement is established through consultation rather than sold as a fixed package. And because KTS may be trusted with access to the property when you are not present, discretion, security and respect for your home are fundamental to the service.
Your visits should begin when you open the door – not several hours later when you have finally finished preparing the house. And when it’s time to leave, you should be able to enjoy the last part of your stay too.
